I stayed at Jambayang Resort in October (2022) for 3 weeks. It was perfect. Being across the river from the town it was very quiet - and had a wonderful view over Thimphu. I like to walk and it is just a few minutes down the hill and across the bridge to get to town. It is family-run and there was nothing that the owner, manager and staff would not do.... even offering to drive me to a meeting when the taxi was 10 minutes late. The gym is small but fully functional with cross-trainer, treadmills and weights. Rooms are spacious, clean and warm. The wifi was surprisingly fast so I could stream some football from Australia using a VPN. The highlight was the restaurant - I ate there every night for dinner. It has a very wide range of foods and the staff were willing to 'mix and match' for my requests and the meals are great value. Strongly recommend anyone considers Jambayang as the first choice for homely accommodation in Thimphu.
